Stamped with Chanel authenticity mark and dated 94. Chanel's quilting detail was inspired by the puffy jackets worn by the horse breeders at her lover Captain Arthur Edward "Boy" Capel's stables. It was first seen on her bags in 1955 and the quilted detail so often seen on her Chanel jewellery was introduced in the 80's under the helm of Victoire De Castellane who started her career as an assistant to Karl Lagerfeld.
