Stamped with Chanel authenticity mark. Chanel's quilting detail was inspired by the puffy jackets worn by the horse breeders at her lover Captain Arthur Edward "Boy" Capel's stables. It was first seen on her 2.55 handbag which was created in February 1955 and the quilted detail so often seen on her Chanel jewellery was introduced in the 80s under the helm of Victoire de Castellane.
