1960s Vintage Trifari Faux Pearl Wreath Brooch

Sublimely elegant. This gold plated wreath brooch features delicately sculpted textured leaves set with luminous faux pearls. It closes with a safety catch pin, signed Trifari. Gold plate and faux pearl, 4.5 cm ABOUT THE DESIGNER Trifari created some of the most desirable costume jewellery of the twentieth century, many of its designers having trained and designed at Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier. Amongst them was Alfred Phillipe who joined Trifari in 1930 as head designer and Andre Boeuf another celebrated signature designer from Cartier who became lead designer in the 60s once Alfred Phillipe retired. The company patented its own non-tarnish metal, calling it Trifanium.
