1960s Vintage Trifari Faux Pearl Posy Brooch

Classic elegance. This gold plated brooch features a posy of luminous faux pearls set with textured gold plated leaves. Signed Trifari, it closes with a safety catch pin. Gold plate and faux pearls, 6.5 cm x 4 cm ABOUT THE DESIGNER Trifari created some of the most desirable costume jewellery of the twentieth century, many of its designers having trained and designed at Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier. Amongst them was Alfred Phillipe who joined Trifari in 1930 as head designer and Andre Boeuf another celebrated signature designer from Cartier who became lead designer in the 60s once Alfred Phillipe retired. The company patented its own non-tarnish metal, calling it Trifanium.
