1960s Vintage Grosse Clip-On Earrings

Timeless classic. Gold plated stylised clip-on earrings, inspired by regal elegance, embellished with emerald green gripoix set in a clear round-cut Swarovski crystal surround, signed Grosse. Grosse created jewellery for Christian Dior. In 1869 Paris master glass-maker Augustina Gripoix began making crystals by pouring melted glass paste (pate de verre) into press moulds and achieved purity of colour, transparency and shine. Coco Chanel was a loyal client of Madame Gripoix for many decades.
